HUBBARD FARMS

Anchor 1

ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Hubbard Farms, The Murray’s home and inspiration, is one of the oldest settlements in the city of Detroit.  Historically, its boundaries and paths were dictated by the forms of the 18th century French ribbon farm.

Today the neighborhood is filled with historic houses and is well-served by a community that cares deeply for it.  Hubbard Farms is famously known for its wonderful melting pot of traditions, peoples and cultures -- including artist residencies such as Spread Art or grassroots organizations like Garage Cultural or Congress of Communities.

The neighborhood is also home to Clark Park, a beloved large urban park that acts as the “Town Square” of Southwest Detroit. The area is rapidly welcoming new residents while appropriately trying to maintain its historic identity. The retail corridor on Vernor Highway, just blocks away from The Murray, is increasingly in demand for those seeking to enjoy live entertainment, unique dining experiences and lively interactions.

Historic Bagley Street forms the heart of Detroit’s world famous Mexicantown.   Hubbard Farms has been a cornerstone of the City for nearly 300 years and its legacy of authentic diversity and pitch perfect living is as vibrant as ever.
